| I wouldn't even be asking for monetary help from the internet if I didn't need it. However, I've seen how much good it can do when someone really needs help. I tried selling usernames for all of the journal platforms like some people did, but I only managed to sell one and trade five. Things are getting desperate for me. I didn't buy my meds this week because I couldn't afford them. I'll be writing poetry, fic or doing tarot card readings in exchange for donations. I really need the money guys or I'm about to lose my internet and my cell phone. Prices vary, but for every dollar, I will write a line of self-contained poetry. More than that and you will get fic with two of your characters that I will try to write to your specifications. Tarot readings start at $5 for a three card pull and go up from there. | Dear Yuletide Writer, First of all, thank you for wanting to write in one of my fandoms. Yuletide is one of my favorite things during the year and I am always so happy to participate. Second of all, while I have participated in Yuletide for the last few years, this is actually the first letter I have written for it. Likes: Shippiness, friendship, slice of life, angst with a hopeful or happy ending, hurt/comfort, protectiveness of each other, people acting outside of their comfort zone, road trips, secret lives. AUs that don't change who the characters are, strong female characters, future fics Dislikes: Mpreg, non-con, character bashing, shaming of anything, gratuitous violence, body functions kinks I also like shipping of characters and do tend more toward het or femmeslash pairings. I don't like canon AU ships that come about by bashing another character or doing character assassination of a character to get to a chosen ship. I like well-done threesomes and moresomes. I like the natural progression of relationships. | I'm trying to raise money so that my daughter, Cheyenne, and I can go to Nana's memorial service. The memorial service is in Arizona. I live in Maryland. I will be driving with my mother, but I need money to help pay for gas and for whatever food Chey and I might need during the trip. I did pay for the hotel already -- so thank you guys for that. <3 If it hadn't been for the fact that I had just paid rent and did grocery shopping before I got the news, I wouldn't need as much help as I do right now. Being able to go to her service is very important to me as she and my grandfather were practically my parents. They are the ones that raised me. I was unable to go to the memorial service for my grandfather because I was recovering from brain surgery. I don't want to miss Nana's service because I can't afford it on my own. I'll feel like I've let her down if I'm not there. I'm trying to raise at least $300 more dollars to go with what I have. I figure that should pay for gas and food and anything unforeseen that happens. (I don't travel long distances well.) If you can, please help? I know that people are tight right now and if you can't donate then please share with others? | This is so hard to write, but I have to put aside pride again and do it...
My Nana died this weekend. I will write more about that and her when I can without falling apart. I'm barely able to see writing this one.
I'm trying to raise money so that my daughter, Cheyenne, and I can go to memorial service. The memorial service is in Arizona. I live in Maryland.

| ROOMMATE NEEDED
Roommate needed for roomy house located in College Park, MD. House is right on a bus line and on the line for the shuttle to Maryland University. We're near plenty of shopping and entertainment.
House is located in a nice and safe neighborhood, and is inbetween the main streets of Route 1 and Rhode Island Avenue.
House has a dishwasher, washer, dryer, unfinished basement and oil heat. The kitchen is a pretty nice size as is the dining room.
You would be living with me, a teenage daughter, a male college student and a bossy cat. As for extra amenities, we have wireless Fios internet and satellite TV.
Available room is a good size and is split into two areas.
Rent is $500 plus a third of the utilities.
Room is available as of January 1st.

|  Step One
* Make a post (public, friends locked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
* If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
* Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ so that the holiday joy will spread.
Step Two
* Surf around your friendslist (or friends friends, or just random journals, or  holiday_wishes / wish_list) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.
There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. | So, I decided to make fan mixes for people for Christmas this year... and they took me longer than I expected due to various health issues and other things. Here's the first one, "Eternal Flame".
